Date: February 16, 2026

The New Hampshire Department of Justice and Department of Safety issued public guidance on February 13, 2026, stating that:

The vehicle inspection program is suspended until further notice.  Inspection stations will no longer be authorized to issue state inspection stickers.  Vehicles will not be required to obtain an annual state inspection at this time.  Drivers are still responsible under current law to ensure that any vehicle driven in New Hampshire is safe to operate, regardless of the status of the inspection program.
Based on the State's public guidance, Gordon-Darby will disable inspection transaction capability on NHOST units to protect inspection stations from performing unauthorized state inspections.

PARTNER SPOTLIGHT

Please note that the stickers which need to be returned to DMV per the Director's letter dated February 13th 2026, are the paper stickers purchased from DMV, not the forms you have received from Gordon Darby.
Effective today:
NHOST units will no longer allow the initiation or completion of inspection transactions. Attempting to perform an inspection will result in the message:

"Invalid Station Authorization - Station is not authorized to perform this type of inspection."

Billing for January activity will occur as normal, with funds being collected as regularly scheduled beginning February 23. We are evaluating how and when to process invoicing for February activity. We will provide you an update via NHOST messaging on how and when we will process invoicing for February activity as soon as it is determined.

The messaging feature of the NHOST unit will remain active. Please monitor system messages periodically for updates.

Thank you for your continued professionalism during this period of transition.
