How does all of this impact Federal Annual Inspections?
The suspension of the New Hampshire state vehicle inspection program does not eliminate the requirement for annual federal inspections for interstate carriers.
Interstate commercial vehicles are still required to complete a federal annual inspection in order to operate in compliance with federal regulations. If a vehicle currently displays a valid New Hampshire state inspection sticker, that sticker will continue to be recognized as meeting the federal annual inspection requirement until it expires.
Once that sticker expires, the vehicle must receive a federal annual inspection from a facility that is qualified to perform federal inspections.
