Christopher Gros, WMCC Student Receives $2,000 Scholarship

Christopher Gros graduated from Fauquier High School in Warrenton, Virginia.

After graduation he worked at a few miscellaneous jobs and then settled into a full time position starting as a farm hand and then as a manager of a 1400 acre farm that raised beef animals and grew pick your own type crops.

During the Fall of 2017, Chris decided he wanted to enhance his knowledge of equipment repair. He researched various colleges and discovered  White Mountains Community College in Berlin, NH had a program that fit his needs, then made arrangements to come tour the Diesel Heavy Equipment Technology program.

Based upon his positive experience visiting WMCC, he came back to the north country in February 2018 to look for housing and part time employment. Chis relocated here a month later in March, enrolled in the DHET program for the fall semester, started working for McDevitt Trucks in Lancaster and continues to work there as a technician when not in class.
