Why EPA Section 609 Certification Matters for Automotive Service Professionals

EPA Section 609 Certification is required for technicians who service or repair motor vehicle air conditioning systems, commonly referred to as MVAC systems, when that work is performed for compensation. After completing the test, you will receive an email notification indicating the status of your test and certification.  You may download the EPA Section 609 Certification study guide and return to the certification system later to complete the test.  However, please note that if you exit the system after initiating the test, you will be required to answer all the questions the next time you return.
