Dealer License Renewal Time Has Come Again
New Hampshire dealer licenses must be renewed every two years by March 31st (in even-numbered years) to keep your dealership compliant and operating without interruption.
As a reminder, please review your renewal requirements now, confirm your dealership information is up to date, and submit your renewal materials ahead of the deadline to avoid processing delays or any impact to your license status. The process, along with the renewal requirement, remains the same.

- You can find the application here. Choose the dealer license type under the heading “Motor Vehicle Dealers”. Once you have clicked on the dealer license type, click on the application for a license and read the instructions for completing the licensing application. You will notice that this is the same application used for a new license, however, you will need to check the renewal box on the upper right-hand side.
- Please make sure all questions on the application are filled out completely. The DMV is unable to fill in any item for you. Incomplete applications, supporting documents, and checks will be sent back.
- A certificate of good standing is required on all renewal applications. That link is here.
- A new criminal background check is not required if a valid one has already been provided and no new owner/responsible party is being added to the application.
- If leasing, please ensure your lease information is up to date.
- Please make sure your bond is up-to-date or continuous. If your bond is up to date, you only need to list the bond company name and bond number.
- If you do not furnish an inspection station, please make sure a current service agreement is provided.
