Hazardous Materials 3-Year Certification
Overview
Automotive-related businesses may have employees who handle hazardous materials—such as car batteries, airbags, degreasers, or paint—by preparing them for shipment, receiving them, transporting them, or delivering them to other facilities or customers.
If your business performs any of these activities, you are required to provide documented hazardous materials training that meets the requirements of 49 CFR 172.704 (HM-126-F). Employees must be recertified at least every three years, starting from the date of their last training.
Format: NHADA offers a rolling Hazardous Materials Certification course that is 100% online. The course is self-paced and can be completed on your own schedule, with all materials included in the online program. You will receive the link within 1-2 business days of registration. Upon completion, you will receive a Hazardous Materials Certificate valid for three years.
