2023 Slip-Fall Prevention Contest Gaining Traction!

After a slow start to winter weather, Mother Nature has delivered a number of snow storms over the last several weeks. As a result, NHADA members have taken advantage to reward their employees by entering the winter weather slip/fall prevention contest. Employees from Nucar, Monadnock Ford, New England Kenworth, and State Motors were recently awarded prizes for their cleanup work. With more snow in the forecast, there is still time to treat your crew by submitting a picture of your weather-related cleanup efforts.

Snow removal and storm cleanup aren’t the easiest days to work at NHADA member locations. It's always windy and freezing cold after a good snowstorm, and moving snow is physically demanding, making for tough conditions for the staff. Winter storms are one of the leading causes of employee injuries.

One thing NHADA members can do to make the best of the weather situation, and have a little fun while spoiling their employees, is to participate in the NHADA Winter Weather Slip/Fall Prevention Contest.

The NHADA Winter Weather Slip/Fall Prevention Contest is a risk management campaign aimed at creating awareness of winter hazards, documenting the extensive efforts made by NHADA members to keep people safe and building employee morale. To participate, members can enter here, or can email pictures of clean-up activities or slip/fall prevention ideas/hacks to their NHADA Loss Prevention Representative or to bduplessis@nhada.com. Members are allowed one entry per weather event and EVERY entry wins a fabulous prize! Prizes include gift cards, NHADA apparel/swag, snow brooms, etc. At the end of the season, the member with the best entries wins the grand prize!

Past grand prize winners include Tri-City Dodge, Carlson’s Motor Sales, Nashua Outdoor Power, Tulley Automotive Group, Manchester Collision Center, Quirk Auto Dealers, and Troy Powersports.

Hopefully, there will be little to no snow to clear after this event, but when storms do occur, we strongly encourage members to participate as a way of documenting the work performed to keep employees and customers safe and to award employees whose hard work makes it happen.
