Many dealerships in New Hampshire have made energy efficiency improvements and seen savings in their buildings and operations.
Did you know that employees and customers also have opportunities to do efficiency work in their own homes? Do you want to help your employees save some of their hard-earned money and lower their utility costs?
The Home Performance with ENERGY STAR® program provides a whole-house approach to improving the energy efficiency and comfort of your home; helping you save on energy costs all year long. Your utility partners work with qualified contractors throughout the state that specialize in home energy efficiency. The program provides concierge service through the whole process, from the initial energy audit to installation of improvements right up to final inspections of the work.
You may be eligible to receive a complete home energy audit – a $500 value – for just $100, as well as a 50 percent incentive, up to $4,000, to help you pay for qualified efficiency work. Eligibility for the program is based on prior energy use, so pull out last year’s heating fuel use information to see if your home qualifies.

Past participants saw the results this winter. "When we had that below zero weather a few days ago, I had no idea it was that cold out, no drafts! It is like a new house." – Wendy, New London
A wide variety of other energy efficiency improvements that can help save on costs at home are available through NH utilities and the NHSaves offerings. Examples of upgrades and incentives available for homeowners are lighting (fixtures, bulbs), thermostats, power strips, appliances (refrigerators, washers, dryers), weather seal material, and even faucets and showerheads.
The New Hampshire Home Performance with ENERGY STAR program is provided by PSNH, Unitil, New Hampshire Electric Coop and Liberty Utilities as part of the NHSaves initiative, which encourages New Hampshire citizens to work together to save energy, reduce costs, and protect the environment.
