Free Small Business Resource: The 10,000 Small Business Program

Written by NHADA | Aug 10, 2023

The 10,000 Small Business Program is a free grant-funded program for New Hampshire business owners, funded through Goldman Sachs Foundation, a not-for-profit organization.

Since 2019, the
Community College System of New Hampshire has administered the grant through the Manchester Community College site. Small business owners from all over the state and all industries have benefited from their participation in the program. Businesses must meet four criteria to qualify for the program, they must:

  • Be in business 2 or more years,
  • Have grossed $75,000 in the previous year,
  • Employ the equivalent of 2 full-time employees (including the business owner),
  • Want to grow their business

Business owners who participate gain the support of experienced faculty and business advisors who will help them strategize and design their business growth plan. After completing the program, business owners also have access to the 10KSB Alumni Program which provides ongoing education and a local (and state-wide) network of like-minded business people.

The 10,000 Small Businesses program is offered twice per year. An added benefit of the program is that it is delivered in a hybrid model, requiring only two weeks on-site at Manchester Community College and the other weeks virtual. The grant also covers the cost of meals and hotel accommodations for the required on-site days for scholars accepted into the program.

Applications are accepted this September – November for the Spring 2024 Cohort. Applications can be submitted through the website, https://www.10ksbapply.com/newhampshire. The deadline for the Spring 2024 Cohort is November 17, 2023.
