 Automotive Scholarship Opportunities

The New Hampshire Automotive Education Foundation (NHAEF), in conjunction with the New Hampshire Automobile Dealers Association (NHADA), offers scholarships for New Hampshire students pursuing a career in Automotive Technology at any of the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH) Automotive Technology programs (Berlin, Laconia, Manchester, and Nashua campuses).

NHAEF is pleased to announce that we have joined forces with the New Hampshire Charitable Foundation to enhance students' scholarship opportunities through The Medallion Fund. 

While the applications are sent to and administered through The Medallion Fund, NHAEF Automotive Technology scholarships are awarded competitively by the NHAEF Board, or its designees, based on the following criteria:

• Scholarship must be used for attendance at an approved Automotive Technology Program offered by the Community College System of New Hampshire (CCSNH).
• Applicant must be a legal New Hampshire resident and a senior in an approved New Hampshire high school or a first-year student at one of the five CCSNH automotive programs at the time of application.
• NHAEF requires a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 in general studies and 2.5 in automotive or other technical career classes.
• Since good driving habits and records are an important criteria for a career in the automotive industry, applicant must have a valid NH driver’s license. In addition, an applicant under the age of 20 will be excluded from receiving scholarship monies if there are two or more points on the Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and a driver age 20 and over will be excluded with three or more points on the MVR.

It is important that if you want to be considered for an NHAEF Automotive Technology Scholarship, you must check "Automotive" under "FIELD OF STUDY" on the application. 

Please note that in addition to the completed Medallion Fund application, NHAEF requires that the following items must be submitted:

• Your high school or college transcript.
• A signed letter of recommendation from an Automotive Technology or other technical instructor.
• A signed letter of recommendation from your high school, math, science, or English teacher, verifying that you demonstrate the ability to do satisfactory academic work at the post-secondary level.

Applications for the NHAEF Automotive Technology Scholarships will be reviewed in a timely manner, and applicants will be notified on an ongoing basis of the NHAEF Scholarship Committee's decision.
